Hi Kristin,
The coaching session with you has been instrumental in allowing me to delve deeper into the challenges I face. Furthermore, it has prompted me to reflect on the concept of authenticity and how, upon closer examination, I’ve realized that I’ve been inadvertently suppressing my true, authentic self.
I’ve been contending with a persistent upper respiratory illness, and it’s become evident that this physical ailment might be symbolically connected to the emotional weight I’ve been carrying. I’ve come to understand that my lungs, which represent grief, have been impacted due to my suppression of both grief and anger, stemming from not standing up for myself and embracing my genuine self.
I truly appreciated the guidance you provided, encouraging me to view my art as a living entity. Your advice to speak to it and engage in meditation before and after the creative process has added a new dimension to my work. It not only makes the art more alive and meaningful for me, but I believe it also enhances its appeal to potential buyers.
I’m grateful for your recommendation to revisit The Artist’s Way book by Julia Cameron. It has proven to be an invaluable resource for artists and individuals seeking to enrich their creative journey. Your encouragement to explore its wisdom has been a significant source of inspiration for me. A lot of anger came out in the first few pages… then came more insights into how I really want to live my life. Mostly, ways I can bring more joy and stay focused on the present moment.
Meditation has had a profound impact on me, and I’ve integrated it more consistently into my routine. I’ve also made a commitment to spend more time in nature, which I’ve found to be a deeply healing and rejuvenating experience. Connecting with the natural world allows me to tap into a childlike sense of wonder and creativity. I’m excited to explore plein air painting in the great outdoors, as I believe it will infuse my artwork with the authenticity and vibrancy I aim to convey.
In deep gratitude,
~Becky
