Most people can practice breathwork safely and will receive a lot of the benefits above.
However, because breathwork can create intense physical and emotional responses (which is why it can be such a powerful experience!), it also is not appropriate for everyone.
Please do not sign up for breathwork if any of the following apply to you, unless you have been cleared by a qualified healthcare provider:
- Pregnancy
- High or irregular blood pressure
- Personal or family history of aneurysms
- Epilepsy, seizure disorders, or you’re on anti-seizure medications
- Severe psychiatric conditions (including psychosis or paranoia)
- Unmanaged bipolar disorder
- Untreated mental health conditions
- Lack of adequate psychological support
- Current use of heavy or mind-altering medications
- Severe osteoporosis
- Severe asthma or COPD
- Glaucoma or retinal detachment
- Recent surgery or major physical injury
- Active addiction or substance dependency
- Cardiovascular conditions (including heart disease, angina, or history of heart attack
What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is a powerful, active breathing technique that uses a continuous, circular pattern. By seamlessly linking your inhales and exhales without pausing, you breathe deeply into your belly, up into your chest, and release.
This rhythmic flow does something magical: it completely bypasses your analytical, overthinking mind.
It allows you to access your subconscious and for many people it allows them to release years of stored physical stress, and process suppressed emotions without having to talk through them. For most people, it is an incredibly profound, liberating experience.
Some of my clients have told me that just one single breathwork session felt like years of therapy!
How It Works (The Science Behind the Shift)
- The Circular Rhythm: By breathing through your mouth in a smooth, wave-like motion with no pauses, you step out of your everyday cognitive loops.
- The Altered State: This continuous flow temporarily quiets the prefrontal cortex – the overanalytical, hyper-vigilant part of your brain that spends all day running your business and managing your life.
- Somatic and Emotional Release: With your brain’s defensive guard down, your body can finally access the subconscious layers where deep emotions, chronic stress, and physical tension are stored, allowing them to clear out.

- Create Your Nest: You’ll set up a quiet, private space in your home where you can lie down comfortably with blankets, pillows and an eye mask. You can be on a bed, sofa or a yoga mat on the floor.
- Immersive Soundtrack: There’s evocative music to help guide your emotional and physical journey and keep you anchored.
Expert Guidance: As a certified breathwork facilitator, I will guide you and other group members for the first 15-25 minutes of the session. The first part is often the part that you’ll need the most encouragement. I’ll help you navigate resistance and, after your breathing has found a natural rhythm, your breath and the music will take over as your guide so you can have your own experience from the music and drop in to your own inner experience.

FAQs
If I’m just breathing, why do I need to take a class or have a facilitator guide me?
Because Conscious Connected Breath (CCB) involves continuous breathing without pausing, the first 15 to 25 minutes can feel mentally challenging. Your brain will want to revert to its old, shallow breathing patterns. A facilitator acts as your coach and anchor.
Just like running a marathon or hitting a major fitness goal, having someone encourage you, keep the rhythm, and hold a safe container will ensure you actually push through the resistance to get to the profound healing on the other side.
You get what you put into this process.
I’ve never done breathwork before. Is this beginner-friendly?
Absolutely. This circle is designed for all breathwork experience levels. Before we begin the breathwork, I will fully explain the technique, demonstrate the patterns, and ensure you feel completely safe, confident, and prepared.
What do I need to prepare for an online session?
Not much! All you need is a private room where you won’t be interrupted, You can do your breathwork session on a bed, sofa or on a yoga mat on the floor.
Have a blanket on you or nearby (your body temperature can drop or rise during breathwork), make sure your computer is fully charged and plugged in and have headphones that are wired to your computer (wireless ear pods are not recommended) and a stable internet connection.
You’ll receive a preparation checklist with your sign up!
Please have your space fully ready to go for your session before the class starts.
What if I can’t make the breathwork circle date (or can’t make it on time)? Will a recording be sent if I sign up and can’t attend the live class?
Please check your schedule before you sign up as there are no refunds given for this class.
Please arrive early or on time – the Zoom room gets locked promptly at 5 minutes after the start time and there will no one admitted after that time to create a safe, peaceful and supportive environment for attendees.
This is one of the rare classes I offer that isn’t recorded – it’s best done live! Also, you may feel freer to release or say what you want to say, knowing there’s no recording. (You will be muted during the breathwork portion. If you want to share anything about your experience at the end, you are welcome to unmute at that time.)
Is there sharing at the beginning or at the end? If so, do I need to share?
You will have the opportunity at the beginning to write in the chat where you’re calling from and what you’re feeling. It’s totally optional, so if you don’t want to write anything, no problem.
If you have questions after I demonstrate the breathing, you can write them in the chat.
After the breathwork session is over, (if there’s time remaining within the 2-hour class timeframe), you’re welcome to share about your experience either verbally or in the chat. Sharing in breathwork is always optional.
What if I want to invite a friend or family member to join me?
I’d love to meet your people! Please note that I’ve kept the price per person purposefully low so as many people as possible can try breathwork and see if it’s something that can help them.
To invite your loved ones, please either send this breathwork page to them so they can sign themselves up – or if you want to gift them a session that’s fine! You can change the number of signups in the shopping cart to reflect how many people you want to gift a session – but first please a) make sure your people don’t have anything that would prevent them from safely participating (see below) and b) that they are available at the session day/time and can be either a little early or right on time (there are no refunds and the Zoom room locks promptly 5 minutes after the start of class).
⚠️ Important Health Considerations
While breathwork is a deeply healing modality for most people, the intense physical and emotional shifts caused by Conscious Connected Breathwork mean it is not suitable for everyone.
Please consult your doctor and refrain from breathwork if you have a history of: cardiovascular disease, severe high blood pressure, glaucoma, detached retina, severe psychiatric conditions (such as psychosis or bipolar disorder), epilepsy, severe asthma, or are recovering from recent major surgeries.
By registering for this class, you are agreeing that you aware of these considerations and don’t have any of these contraindications.
