Nancy is a licensed marriage and family therapist who, like a lot of therapists during the pandemic, got massively burned out.
As a result of that business burnout, she become an executive coach with the hope that being a coach would help her cultivate a healthier work / life balance.
What she’s struggling with now is the opposite of burnout – she is finding herself having a difficult time getting coaching clients. Her difficulty seems to be (initially anyway), in her marketing herself and putting herself out there.
As a therapist she was used to the ease of having therapy clients come to her in droves but because she hasn’t put herself out there as a coach, she hasn’t been able to get clients.
There’s a block within her around getting clients and marketing. When she was a therapist she had an overflowing practice and now that she’s a coach she’s perplexed why she isn’t getting a large inflow of clients. She wants to figure out how she can get more clients and how to move forward in her new line of work. Nancy is clear she wants to reduce her stress and she has some fear around getting burned out again. In this coaching session we explore what’s underneath Nancy’s fear of burnout. What gets revealed underneath the burnout surprises both of us – and it may surprise you too.
